- The Labrador Current carries glacial icebergs along the northeast coast of Newfoundland. The area is renowned for it's incredible bergs and is affectionately known as 'Iceberg Alley', (2 hours from the Bed and Breakfast)
- Just outside of Deer Lake you'll discover The Newfoundland Insectarium. It is a must-see for tourists and residents alike, (only 20 minutes drive from Adams House Bed and Breakfast)
- Steady Brook boasts a world-class downhill ski facility at Marble Mountain, (just 6 minutes from the B&B)
- In winter, the multitude of inland trails, as well as the former rail bed become a highway for snowmobiling. Many trails are machine-groomed, and a network of accommodations along the way are making this an ever-increasing winter activity. (Take off right from Adams House Bed and Breakfast on your snowmobile!)
- When the snow clears, the trails belong to the hikers. Western Newfoundland has an abundance of hiking trails that makes living in our area a bonus for the outdoor lover. Steady Brook Falls, shown here, is just minutes from Marble Mountain Ski Resort.
- In recent years Corner Brook has become a stop for the ITU World Cup. Triathletes from all around the globe come to compete in one of the most difficult stops on the circuit.
- One advantage of living in our region is our proximity to the coast. Whale watching is just another pasttime that we can take advantage of.
